Biography

Michael Frost grew up singing gospel music with his family in East Tennessee. By the time he was a teenager, he was harmonizing with his cousins and traveling on weekends across the southeast with a family band, The Frost Family. That band evolved into a vocal trio, The Frosts, that did well in the southern gospel music industry with widespread radio airplay and charting singles such as "Author and Finisher."

As a songwriter, Michael has had cuts by several of gospel music's most popular artists, including Ivan Parker, Hissong, Heirline, The Wilburns and more. Many of those songs climbed The Singing News Top 40 chart.

In 2006, Michael was hired to perform at The Miracle Theater in Pigeon Forge, TN. Currently, he portrays John the Baptist in the show and is a backup for the role of Jesus. In 2009, he continues to perform at The Miracle Theater where he serves as host and pre-show soloist. Michael also sings Wednesday afternoons and Sunday evenings in a new production at the theater called Exalt: A Christian Concert Spectacular.

Early 2009, Michael signed a recording / publishing deal with Crossroads Music / Pinnacle label. His current CD, Sing Like It's the Last Time, is set for a Spring 2009 release, featuring 10 new songs written by Frost.

Michael will be married to Jennifer Gilbert, June 7, 2009.
